Wow... what a month. I've been trying to get on here for a couple weeks now, but you know how crazy things are in December. Oh well... enough excuses... Here I am.
To start the month off, Mitchell got his drivers license! Crazy I know. He is happy to have some freedom and his parents are nervous every time he leaves the house! I have a hard time falling back to sleep when he leaves for seminary. He needs to get a job fast or he will be parking the car soon. He has to pay for his own gas. So, if you know of any jobs out there, let us know!
This is the day his official license came in the mail!
LAS VEGAS BOWL
We were lucky enough to get tickets to the BYU bowl game.
It was a great game and we were happy to see BYU beat Oregon State 44-20.
The only draw back to the game was that it was FREEZING!!!!!
We bundled up and sat close together and enjoyed the game.
We sat by the Jarmans and the Leavitts, but I didn't get a picture of the Leavitts, sorry Elizabeth!
Ashley and I...
Our niece Kathryn is in the BYU marching band, so we got to see her at the game.
They did a great job at half-time.
Go Cougars!!

Christmas Eve
It has become a tradition to go to our dear friends, the Lords for Christmas Eve dinner. Keri makes a delicious meal! and the table is set so pretty! She always have poppers at the table and we all get a crown inside and a little toy. So fun! We love this tradition.

John must have food in his mouth... sorry honey, it's the only picture of you.

Tanner and his prize...
We realized that none of the kids had ever seen It's a Wonderful Life! So we sat down and watched it. You would have thought we were torturing them... I guess they aren't mature enough for it yet, or they were just too anxious for Christmas morning???
I can't tell you how many times they asked how much time was left.
Christmas Day
Mitchell got tickets to go see the Bears game with his dad! He was so happy!
Tanner being goofy!
Ashley got some Ugg boots and she was in heaven. Happy 19th birthday Ashley!!
Scott and Jenn posing for my new camera...
The sister missionaries, Scott, Jenn, Afton, Joanna (Jenn's mom), Chris (Jenns Brother), his wife Stephanie and their two boys came over for Christmas dinner. It was fun to have a house full! We had a turkey dinner, watched Ashley open her birthday presents and had yummy dessert!

Ashley got a new phone! Happy day!

John and Mitch in Chicago for Monday night football!
John and Mitchell stayed at his sister Annette's house for the game. She lives about an hour north of the city. They had a great time playing with the kids and catching up with them. His mom was out there visiting, so that was a bonus to see her!
Ammon and Everett being boys!

You can't go to Chicago with out getting the best pizza in the world! I am so jealous!

Kevin home from his mission
We drove up to Utah on New Years Eve to see my nephew Kevin return from his mission in Chile. He was so cute! My sister planned a big welcome home party at my brothers showroom up in Heber. There are all sorts of fun things to do there. I'm glad we were able to go!
My cousin Julia with Kevin...
The best part of Christmas was having Ashley home! It was hard to drop her
back off at BYU on Sunday! I miss her already!
